About

John Lind

In 1997 I started working in downtown Toronto as an assistant to a commercial real estate broker, leasing office space. I admit it, I love real estate, always have. It started in the 80′s when real estate was king and I was just a starry-eyed teenager watching from the side lines. Then the thing blew up. By the time I got started in 1997 the market was just beginning to recover and I was as green as they get.
Fast forward to 2007 when I started to work in the Kitchener-Waterloo Market. Moving to Waterloo Region allowed my growing family to live in a great area inline with how my wife and I envisioned our family. It also provided a great opportunity to take 10 plus years of working with Canada’s most sophisticated landlords and office tenants and apply it to a market that was pushing the boundaries of growth and innovation. I work for Colliers International and specialize in office tenants over 5,000 square feet in the Waterloo Region, which brings us to “the informed tenant”.
Toronto developers, investors and landlords are here and doing brilliant things in this market place. This blog is a place where corporations, businesses and entrepreneurs can come and gain insight into the field of office real estate in this growing market.

Interests: Just about anything outdoors.  One of my true passions is wilderness backpacking.  I have a goal to hike a national park in every province.  Some of the parks I’ve already had the pleasure to hike are the Chilkoot Pass, Jasper, Banff, Riding Mountain, Algonquin (Provincial), Gatineau, and Gros Morne.
